Baby, Baby! This painting of Biggie Small's iconic Vibe photo shoot belongs in your Hip-hop man cave.
This Notorious BIG piece was inspired by the artists love and adoration of New York City hip-hop. The artist spent a week making sure every camera light was reflected in his eyes, every bead on his crown was exactly as pictured and every shadow/reflection was shown.
This piece will be the ultimate edition to your home gallery or even as a background in your home office on your now never ending zoom calls. It's a definite conversation piece!
About Vasu Bhushan..
Born and raised in New Delhi, Vasu would often watch his father draw and would wonder what magical powers one had to have in order to create such beautiful things with his own hands. He moved to New York City to pursue his love for creativity in the hopes of creating his own fashion line. Working for many brands throughout his career, he picked up his love for painting to get him through a low point in his life. Painting saved him once again when he opened his own gallery. He achieved what he came to America to do, open his own business and work for himself.
Today, Vasu loves to paint when creativity strikes him. He chooses his portrait subjects based on the movies he's watching or music he's listening to. His portraits range from Jay-Z to Freddie Mercury. Each piece is hand-painted with hours upon hours spent on ensuring each portrait looks as realistic as possible. Look for these small details in the artwork and you will wonder why you've never seen the world in such detail before.
About La Pittura Studio..
We opened our gallery/painting studio in 2016 to painters from all around the world. Beginner friendly to advance techniques were taught alongside a glass of wine/beer. In April of 2020, we had to close our doors for the last time but our artists, painters and clients will surely live on. Support the studio and the artists by purchasing from our gallery of pieces from Artists all around New York and hopefully the world.
