What is a La Pittura Studio Class like?

A fun, social, group setting, with an artist to guide you step by step in replicating the nights painting. By the end of the evening, you get to take home a fantabulous piece of artwork! It's easy, it's fun, and it's totally stress free (So don't be too hard on yourself!) These classes are perfect for beginners, so grab your friends, your squad, your family (Yes, we love your crazy Aunt Cheryl), your coworkers (Leave the boss at work), plan a unique date night, celebrate your Anniversary (Woo Hoo, two months together!) or fly solo and meet some awesome people. It's a great way to decorate your apartment, create a unique gift, or give momma some art because you are sure to go home with a painting you can be proud of and how awesome does it feel to say that's an original, by ME. Our classes are awesome for all kinds of events (Ahem, divorce party) and team building workshops.

How do I sign up for a class?
Click here for our calendar and choose the date and/or painting that interests you. Click on the image of the painting and on the next page click "Add To Cart." On the shopping cart page you can update the quantity of seats you'd like to reserve and apply a gift code or voucher if you have one. The painting that is listed for each class is the painting that will be instructed. All materials are included: canvases, paint, brushes, aprons and easels, etc. We ask that students please arrive 15 minutes early to give yourself enough time to sign in and get settled. We also provide cups, ice and bottle openers.

I stink at art!

Girl, bye!! With art, there is no “right” or “wrong” It's all a matter of personal creative expression. Also, any "mistake" can be fixed or simply reinterpreted as intentional strokes of genius. These classes are designed for beginners, yet there is plenty to challenge students of all skill levels. Instructors will walk around the class to answer questions and to make sure everyone is on the right track.

Do I need to sign up in advance?

We recommend signing up in advance because of our limited seating, most of our events will sell out. Of course, walk-ins are still welcomed if there are seats available.

What do I wear?
We ask ourselves that question everyday! We will provide snazzy aprons, but we recommend wearing something you wouldn't mind getting paint on just in case! We use acrylic paint and it can stain clothes. If we are your first stop before your night out, just be very careful!

What time do I need to arrive for a class?
The class start time is listed on the calendar, however we suggest arriving early to signed in, get settled and choose your seat. Our doors open 20 minutes before the listed start time. Classes start on time, and late arrivals are responsible to catch themselves up.

Are there age requirements?

It’s not uncommon to see some kids/teenagers painting in our classes. There will be people drinking. If you are comfortable with this, then so are we. If you’re not, no problem. Of course you have to be 21+ to drink alcohol at the studios. Valid ID required. We can host kids parties for ages 6 and up.

Can I paint something different from everybody else?
NO! Just kidding...we recommend you paint the same painting as everyone else, however we encourage you to be as original as you like. Feel free to use different colors, different composition, and different design elements, whatever you want to do to express your own originality. You might feel sad that your different and your painting may not look as good as everyone else's or you might feel super original and it might be 10x better then everyone else's!

Do you have a minimum number of people required to hold a class?
We will teach a class as long as ten people are signed up. In the event that not enough people have signed up for a class, we will contact those signed up the day before the class to let them know about the cancellation. One way to be sure your class won't be canceled is to get a few friends to sign up with you!
